Power List Marketing caught my eye recently. It was promoted to me as the total and complete marketers site, allowing you to capture names and email addresses from every click on the net and after looking into it - I have to say I am impressed.

I joined and took the upgrades - I figured, they offer a money back guarantee so why not..? You are not in any way required to take the upgrades to get the benefits of the site. However, they do multiply the benefits, I have found.

What a concept - I must say.

How To Do Online Business Advertising

If you are serious about doing business online, it’s important to learn how to do online business advertising. Whether the traffic source is free or paid, if you do not understand the basics of doing online advertising, the traffic you’ve generated will be wasted.

Recently a ‘rich’ surveying company advertised with us. When I looked at the ad, I almost fainted. It was a simple sign up form, expecting people to sign up without telling them anything about the company or the offer. Isn’t it common sense to ask oneself “will I act on this ad?” before one spend money advertising the ad?

In today’s discussion on how to do online business advertising, I’m going to share with you 3 “MUST-HAVE” elements in your ad before you even start thinking where to advertise it.

Hope that helps.

1. WIIFM “in 5 seconds”

WIIFM stands for “what’s in it for me”.

If you don’t tell people what’s in it for them, they are not going to be interested in your ad, not to mention taking action.

The problem with many advertisers is that their WIIFM is scattered all over the sales copy. One has to seriously read through the sales copy to identify them. Unfortunately, most sales copies are not read and thus the WIIFM message is not delivered.

For effective online business advertising, your ad must address the question of WIIFM within 5 seconds after a prospect first look at your ad. If not, you are losing them, period.

This means your headline, subheadline and the first paragraph of your sales copy play an important role in deciding whether a prospect will continue reading your ad or simply leave the page.

2. Become their friends “in 10 seconds”

Once you successfully capture their attention with WIIFM, you next objective is to gain their confidence in you and/or your offer.

Common ways to achieve this include the follow tricks:

- adding testimonials, especially ones with photographs;
- showing your own photograph and disclosing your name, email address and even contact number;
- showing other proofs such as earning screenshots, samples of completed work etc.

3. “Impossible-to-miss” call for action

Lastly, you must tell your prospect what to do next.

The problem with many advertisers is that their call for action is hidden somewhere in the sales letter. If it takes even 10 seconds for the prospects to search for the call for action, most of them would rather click the close window button.

The 3 elements above are the bare minimum that you must have in your ad if you want to do any online business advertising.

In additional to these 3, try to build a list regardless of what online business you’re advertising. The main advantage of online advertising vs offline advertising is that it’s easy to capture clients’ database. In the world of business, winners are those who own the customers. Think Walmart vs wholesaler. Think Ebay vs its sellers. The ones with huge customer base win. Regardless of what business you’re in, you are in the business of building customers.

4) There are many affiliates in the niche that I can contact and JV with.
5) There are established websites where I can find lots of people interested in the niche. This is to ensure that I can easily find targeted traffic for my new business, through advertising or striking deals with the webmasters.
Examples of good niches are internet marketing, stock trading, forex trading, body building, holistic health and personal improvement.
If I found a niche that I see a potential in, I will ask myself 2 questions.
1) Can I find/create a useful product to giveaway?2) Can I find/create a high value product to sell?
1) Can I find/create a useful product to giveaway?
In some niches, you can find some PLR products that you can give away. This is by far the fastest way to kick start your online business.
Another way is to create your own product, which may not be difficult at all.
The trick is to create something that is useful to the people in the niche.
Here is one idea that I just think off my head.
For example, You can create an ebook called “Online Scam Report - A complete list of scam (or near scam) programs you should avoid before you become the next victim”. Just go to Google.com and search for “scam”. You will be able to find websites discussing about different scam programs. Your job is to compile those programs into a book or if you are lazy, get a freelancer to do it.
2) Can I find/create a high value product to sell?
This is an important part in making sure that your business idea is profitable.
A profitable business idea should be able to help you generate immediate profit so as to fund your future expansion and cover your advertising costs.

List building
We have heard this so many times and yet so few people really get down to doing the nitty gritty of doing this.

You may wonder why? One of the main reasons is that it takes time to build a list.

Why is it so important to have a list?

It gives you the chance to build a realtionship with your customer. Yes, that person on your list is your cutomer or potential customer. Like any business (both online and offline) your customer is the most important factor in your business. I have heard people say that every person on your list is worth at least $1 per month (minimum). The bigger your list…the bigger your income or am I being stupid.

WITHOUT CUSTOMERS YOU DO NOT HAVE A BUSINESS – AS SIMPLE AS THAT.

How do we build a list:
To get traffic you need a list. To build a list you need traffic, right? Sort of a catch 22 situation..

How do you build a list. I take it you do have a website or blog.

Offer something free to your customer, something worthwile and not a piece of junk. In return you set up a landing page or alternatively you can provide a place on your blog where your customer can join your list.

You can get a free autoresponder at http://www.freeautobot.com/ until you can pay for a better model. I use them myself and the ads they put in the email does not really bother me.

Remember to communicate on a regular basis with your "list". They are your bread and butter.

Start your communications on a topic that you have a fairly good knowledge off and begin communicating with your list, at least once per week. Once you have build up a relationship with them you can start offering them products as they will trust you in a certain way.

You must be honest in the relationship that you are building and make it clear that you want to help them instead of only making money out of them.

Submit to directories - the quick and easy way

You may or may not know that Website Directory Submission is quickly becoming a very popular and easy way to get quality, one way links to your website.

These kind of links are exactly what the search engines are looking for. The websites with more quality, one way links are typically the sites that rank the highest, period.

With that said, there are several websites dircetory submission programs on the market. The best and easiest to use is a new program created by Brad Callen, called Directory Submitter.

The software currently contains around 1700 website directories, all free. It is the most straightforward program that we've come across, in that all you need to do is:

1. Input your website details (i.e. title, description, URL, etc.) into the software

2. Click on the directory you want to submit to

And then the program will automatically fill in your website details. Then, you simply click the submit button and your website is instantly submitted to the directory. Then, you can move to the next directory, go through the list, and by the time you're finished you'll have roughly 1500 one way links pointing to your website.

I can't think of an easier way to get links. Of course, if you're going to get links this quickly, it's important to vary your website title (anchor text) every 20-30 links or so, to make things look more natural to the search engines.

You can do this very easily via Directory Submitter when you create your project in the beginning.

Articles submission - the quick and easy way!

While article submission isn't anything shockingly new to the world of SEO, many people STILL don't do it... and for good reason. It takes so incredibly long to do manually.

I'll admit, I had tried article submission at one point, but after I finally found a few article dircetories to submit my articles to, and then after manually copying and pasting my information into the required textboxes on each submission site, I quickly realized that my time could be better spent doing something else.

Then I came across a free program created by Brad Callen and Bryxen Software, Inc. that allows you to automatically submit your articles to hundreds of article directories with a few mouse clicks. Basically all I had to do was input my article criteria into the software, ONCE! Then, the program would automatically fill in all of the required data at each of the submission websites. Pretty incredible if you ask me.

The only part I didn't understand was why the program is FREE... but I can't argue with that I suppose.

The software currently contains around 700 article directories, all free to submit your articles to. It is the most straightforward program that we've come across, in that all you need to do is:

1. Input your article details (i.e. title, article body, bio, etc.) into the software

2. Click on the directory you want to submit to

And then the program will automatically fill in your article details. Then, you simply click the submit button and your article is instantly submitted to the directory. Self image causes limitations on performance

Everybody has a self image. This means in short – What do you think about yourself? If you do not like yourself, how can you expect anybody else to like you? It's amazing to me how many times I get "pitched" in an average week and the person is almost always selling!

My friend, if you'll remember and apply what I'm about to share with you, it will set you miles apart from the multitudes of home-based business owners out there, desperately trying to recruit new people.

Want to know one of the quickest ways to fail in your home-based business?

Become a sales person.

I've seen it happen. Someone comes into your business and he signs up a ton of people. He signs up 30 people in one month! This guy is a natural born salesman and is surely going to take you to the top of your company's comp plan. You've finally landed your "heavy hitter."

Then what happens?

The people he signed up, within a couple of months, start to fall out and quit.

And your new golden boy can't figure out what's going on because it was so easy for him.

Why did they join that networking witness protection program?

They couldn't duplicate what the sales superstar did.

You see, people can't be duplicated.

That's why a good system should be in place that can be semi-duplicatable. That system involves "sorting and sifting" through the numbers of people you pile into your "pipeline."

Sorting does not mean selling.

How do you know if you're selling when talking to a prospect?

The moment you start to explain anything about your product or service. If you say anything more than the name of your company, you are selling. If you tell them the price of your product or service, you are selling. If you start telling the prospect about how the compensation plan works, you are selling!

PLEASE DON'T DO IT!

Your job should be merely to sort (interview) as many people as you can. Choose the candidates that qualify for your time and then use your company's marketing tools to do all of the selling and telling for you.

The marketing tools could be a website, CD, flash presentation, a LIVE conference call, whatever. Just make sure it's a persuasive sales and marketing tool that does all the "heavy lifting" for you.

Don't waste time with people who insists that you tell them "what's IT all about?" on the first call or introduction.

You don't become attached to any one person on the phone.

The person on the other end of the phone is a "nobody" that must qualify for your time. So until they qualify (by answering your pre-screening questions to your satisfaction) they are just a voice and a phone number.

You're not attached!

Again, "Professionals Sort, Amateurs Sell."

Let this system sort the important people and then you can start selling to those that are really interested

This is the first post on making money and I will try and explain in short what I am doing here. I think most of us have been up the same road on the net where we have been scammed and ended up losing money in the end. Firstly it is partly our own fault for falling for every scammer that comes along and secondly when you have decided to join a programme you sit back and wait for something to happen. When nothing happens we lose interest and who gets blaimed - the internet and the scammers.

I have found some secure programmes where you can start with zero dollars and end up making a decent living on the internet with a passive income. Earning a million dollars? It is possible and will depends on your knowledge and willingness to work and how much effort you are prepared to put in!

Do not let the word passive deceit you by letting you think you can earn an income by doing nothing.

It only means that you can earn a recurring incoming from the same person that joined under you without having to enroll him again and again.

You will be required to do some work but my time is valuable and so is yours. I will try and limit the work to as little as possible. So, let's get started.
